Tá rang a sé ag glacadh páirt ins an Junior Entrepreneur Programme faoi láthair, áit a bhfuil tionscadal idir lámha acu chun bosca deas do dóidín a dhéanamh.
Is é an smaointe atá againn ná go mbeadh na tuismitheoirí ábalta an chéad dóidín a chuir sa bhosca álainn seo agus go mbeadh sé acu ansin le tabhairt de na bpáistí nuair a bheas siad 18 nó 21. Doideez a thug muid ar ár gcomhlacht. Ag tús an tionscadal bhí 'Dargons Den' an-mhaith againn le Niall Cooke ó Glanmore Foods, Leah, Príomhoide na Scoile agus múinteoir Mairéad (tacaíocht foghlama). Bhí muid an-sásta airgead a fháil ó na dragain. D'fhoghlaim na páistí a lán ó phróiseas seo. An tseachtain ina dhiaidh sin tháinig John Mooney, stiúrthóir bainistíochta Glammore Foods isteach agus thug sé caint iontach do na páistí faoina shaol i ngnó. D'fhreagair sé na ceisteanna go léir a bhí acu agus thug sé comhairle an-mhaith dóibh. Ag an bpointe seo anois tá na hábhair go léir ceannaithe againn agus tá muid réidh le tosú. Seo an áit a bhfuil muid ag lorg cuidiú uaibhse. Tá muid ag déanamh taighde margaidh agus ba mhaith linn dá dtógfadh sibh cúpla nóiméad chun ár suirbhé a dhéanamh. Go raibh maith agaibh agus tá súil fhios againn gur maith libh ar smaointe chomh mór agus is maith linne é! :-) |
Sixth class are taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme at present.
The project is going well and the children are enjoying it. They have chosen to go with a project to create luxury gift boxes to hold babies soothers. The idea is that it will be a keepsake for parents to keep their child's first soother and that they will be able to present it to their children when they are 18 or 21. The company name that they have come up with is Doideez, which is a play on the irish word for soother. We had an excellent dragons den with Niall Cooke of Glanmore Foods acting as one of the dragons along with Leah, our principal and Mairéad our learning support teacher. We were also delighted to receive our seed money via the dragons. The children learnt a lot from this part of the process. The following week we had the managing director of Glanmore, John Mooney, in with us. A lovely man and he spent over an hour with us detailing his entrepreneurial experience over the years. It was very interesting. He answered all the children's questions and gave them some great advice in business terms and also just in general terms for their lives ahead. Since then we have progressed the project and we have now sourced all of our raw materials for the product. We are now looking for your help. We are conducting some market research and hope that you could take a few minutes to fill in our survey below. We aim to collect all the information and use it to help us decide which type of product to make. Thanks for your time and hopefully you like our idea as much as we do! :-) |
Seo sampla de chuid de na boscaí atá muid ag smaointe ar úsáid.
Below are some samples of the type of boxes we are thinking of using.
