Páistí atá tinn
Níor chóir aon pháiste le comharthaí COVID-19 a chur ar scoil. I measc na gcomharthaí tá:
casacht, teocht, scornach tinn, tuirse, tinneas cinn, athrú ar bhlas nó boladh, cur amach agus buinneach. Sa chás go bhfuil aon cheann de na comharthaí seo ar do pháiste ba chóir tástáil PCR a eagrú dóibh. (tú féin ar an suíomh nó tríd an dochtúir clainne).
Níor chóir tástáil antigen a úsáid ar pháiste a bhfuil comharthaí COVID-19 air.
Fiú má thagann an tástáil PCR ar ais diúltach níor chóir don pháiste filleadh ar scoil go dtí go mbíonn sé saor ó chomharthaí ar feadh 48 uair. Is é sin treoir an FSS agus baineann sé le scaipeadh galair, nach COVID é ar phobal na scoile rud a chúisíonn asláithreachtaí breise agus brú ar an gcóras tástála.

Sick children
No child with COVID-19 symptoms should be sent to school. Symptoms include:

cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, headache, change in taste or smell, nausea and diarrhea. If your child has any of these symptoms a PCR test should be arranged for them. (yourself on site or through the GP).

Antigen testing should not be used on a child with COVID-19 symptoms.

Even if the PCR test comes back negative the child should not return to school until it has been symptom free for 48 hours. That is the direction of the HSE and it is about the spread of disease, which is not COVID to the school community which causes further absences and pressure on the testing system.

Cás Dearfach ar bhall clainne
Is gá do bhall clainne srian a chur ar ghluaiseachtaí ar feadh tréimhse ama ag brath ar an bhfuil vacsaín faighte acu nó nach bhfuil.
Le vacsaín: 5 lá agus 3 X tástáil antigen déanta
Gan Vacsaín: 10 lá agus tástáil PCR X 2. (14 lá muna bhfaightear tástáil ar lá 10)
(más rud é go raibh COVID-19 ar an bpáiste le 9 mí anuas agus nach bhfuil aon chomharthaí orthu ní gá dóibh srian a chur ar ghluaiseachtaí.

Positive case of household member
A household member needs to restrict movements for a period of time depending on whether or not they have received a vaccine.

By vaccine: 5 days and 3 X antigen test done

Vaccine Free: 10 days and PCR test X 2. (14 days if not tested on day 10)

(if the child has had COVID-19 in the past 9 months and has no symptoms they do not need to restrict movements.)

Gar theagmhálaí eile
Ní gá srian a chur ar ghluaiseachtaí an fhad nach bhfuil aon chomharthaí de COVID-19 ar an bpáiste

Other close contact
Movements need not be restricted as long as the child has no symptoms of COVID-19

Ag fanacht ar thástáil PCR
Ba chóir d’aon bhall clainne nach bhfuil vacsaín acu srian a chur ar ghluaiseachtaí go mbíonn toradh na tástála faighte. Ní féidir teacht ar scoil.
Ní bhaineann sé seo le haon duine a raibh COVID-19 orthu le naoi mí anuas.

Awaiting PCR testing
Any non-vaccinated family member should restrict movements until the test result has been obtained. Children cannot come to school.

This does not apply to anyone who has had COVID-19 for the past nine months.

Cur Chuige na Scoile faoi láthair
Sa chás go mbíonn cás de COVID-19 i rang do pháiste, agus go raibh an cás ar scoil sa tréimhse sular fuair siad tástáil dearfach (24 – 48 uair ag brath ar chomharthaí)
· cuirfear an rang ar an eolas
· déanfaidh an scoil teagmháil go pearsanta le tuismitheoirí na bpáistí atá ag suí sa mheitheal céanna
· Níl rochtain ar thrialacha Antigen i bhfeidhm go fóill sna scoileanna. Cuirfear eolas breise ar fáil nuair a tharlaíonn sé sin.

Tabhair faoi deara nach raibh aon chomharthaí ná tinneas ar fhormhór na bpáistí a bhí agus atá as láthair le COVID-19 ó mhí Mheán Fómhair.
Gabhaimid buíochas libh arís as an gcomhoibriú iontach go dáta agus iarraimid ar gach duine leanúint ar aghaidh ag cloígh leis na treoirlínte. Má tá aon cheist in aon chor agaibh is féidir r-phost a sheoladh chuig [email protected], glaoch a chur ar an scoil nó úsaid an Aip Aladdin.

Current School Approach
If there is a case of COVID-19 in your child's class, and the case was in school in the period before they tested positive (24 - 48 hours depending on symptoms)
  • The class will be informed
  • The school will personally contact the parents of the children sitting in the same group
  • Access to Antigen tests is not yet in place for schools. Additional information will be provided when this happens.
Note that the majority of children who have been and are absent since September with COVID-19 have had no symptoms or illness .

Thank you again for the wonderful co - operation to date and we urge everyone to continue to adhere to the guidelines. If you have any questions at all you can email [email protected], call the school or use the Aladdin App.
