I mbliana beidh Rang 1, 2 & 3 ag dul ag snámh ar an Aoine. Beidh na páistí ag fágáil an scoil ag 11.30r.n agus beidh siad ar ais roimh 2. Siúlann gach páiste go dtí an linn snámha agus ar ais lena múinteoir ranga. Moltar mar sin éadaí báistí a bheith acu gach Aoine maraon lena éadaí snámha. 

This year children from 1st, 2nd and 3rd class will go swimming on Fridays. All children will leave the school at 11.30a.m and will return before 2. All children will walk to the pool with their class teacher. It is recommended they bring rain gear along with their required swimming gear. ​

​Lón Sláintiúil/ Healthy Eating Policy.
Tá polasaí lón sláintiúil againn i nGaelscoil Uí Earcáin tá cosc ar mhilseáin, chriospaí agus deochanna boga. Tá an riail sin fós i bhfeidhm nuair atá na páistí ag an linn snámha nó ar thuras scoile. Iarraim ar na tuistí cloí leis na rialacha seo i gcónaí. Níl sé cothrom ar na páistí má tá tuistí áirithe ag ceannach milseáin dá bpáistí agus tuismitheoirí eile ag cloí leis na rialacha.

Gaelscoil Uí Earcáin has a healthy eating policy, which does not allow sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks. This policy is still in place when the children are at the swimming pool and on school tours. I would ask all parents to co-operate with this policy at all times. It is not fair on the children if some parents are buying their children sweets etc. and other parents are adhering to school policy.


Gaeilge
Sí an Ghaeilge an teanga labharta atá an scoil. Tá na páistí faoi chúram na scoile i rith am snámha mar sin ba chóir go mbeadh siad ag caint as Gaeilge agus go mbeadh na tuistí ag déanamh iarracht Gaeilge a usáid.

Irish is the spoken language of the school. Swimming time is during school time therefore the children must speak Irish and all parents must make an effort in front of the children to use what Irish they have.


Teacht & Imeacht / Coming & Going
Idir 9.00r.n. agus 2.30i.n. tá na páistí ar scoil agus faoi chúram an Mhúinteora ranga. Mar sin caithfidh siad taisteal ar an mbus leis an Múinteoir Ranga go dtí agus ar ais ón linn snámha. 

Between 9.00am and 2.30pm the children are at school and under the care of the Class teacher, therefore they will travel to and from the pool with the class teacher. Pupils are requested not to bring shampoo, conditioners and aerosol deodorants to the pool. Children are to shower and dress quickly so as to return to the school as soon as possible

Beidh díolachán leabhar Scoile i halla na scoile ar an Mháirt 4 Méan Fómhair 2018 ag 12.00 i.n. Beidh Book Haven anseo ar an lá.

Book Haven will be with us on Tuesday 4th September at 12.00 pm in school hall. Parents will have an opportunity to buy the school books for the year on that day if you have not already organised them.
