Mar is eol daoibh, d’éirigh le foireann iománaíochta na mbuachaillí an cluiche ceannais a bhaint amach sa sciath. Beidh sé ar siúl ar an Mháirt, 9 Meitheamh ag 10.00 r.n. i gcoinne Gaelscoil Bharra. Is ócáid mhór í seo don scoil, agus táimid go léir an-bhródúil as na buachaillí ar fad atá bainteach leí. Ba mhaith linn go mbeadh an-chuid tacaíochta ag na buachaillí ar an lá, mar sin beidh muid ag eagrú busanna chun páistí ó rang 1 go rang 6 a thabhairt chuig an gcluiche. Eagróidh muid busanna do thuismitheoirí gur mhaith leo dul chomh maith. Más maith leat áit a fháil ar an mbus, cur é seo in iúil don oifig roimh an Déardaoin, 4ú Meitheamh. Beidh costas €5 ar gach duine don bhus. Beidh costas €5 do dhaoine fásta agus €3 do pháistí chun dul isteach ag an gcluiche, agus caithfear seo a íoc chuig an scoil roimh an Déardaoin, 4ú Meitheamh.
Más fearr leat tiomáint go Páirc an Chrócaigh, beidh páirceáil ar fáil ar chúl Óstán Pháirc an Chrócaigh, agus i gcarrchlós Staid Davin (bealach isteach ón Chuarbhóthar Thuaidh, in aice le teach tábhairne Gill ar Ascaill Naomh Maighréid).
Ar deireadh, beidh duais don bhrat is fearr, chomh maith le duais don lucht tacaíochta is daite. Mar sin iarann muid oraibh dathanna na scoile (dubh agus glas) a chaitheamh, agus má tá sibh páirteach in aon chlub GAA eile aon bhrat nó banda atá agaibh a thabhairt libh.
As you may be aware, the boys’ hurling team have successfully reached the shield final in Croke Park. The final will be on Tuesday, May 9 at 10.00 am against Gaelscoil Bharra. This is a huge achievement for the school, and we are immensely proud of all the boys involved. We would like the boys to have as much support as possible on this important day, so we will provide buses for all children from rang a 1 to rang a 6. We will also organise buses for parents who would like to attend, so if you would like to attend please let the office know by Thursday, June 4th at the latest. The bus will cost €5 for each person/ child. Admission to Croke Park is €5 for adults, and €3 for children, all of which must be paid to the school on or before June 4th.
If you would prefer to drive to Croke Park, please note:
“Parking arrangement for the day: Rear of Croke Park Hotel (Jones’ Road) carpark and Davin Stand carpark (Entrance from North circular road, below Gills pub on St Margaret’s Avenue) will be available for supporters travelling by car and for teams travelling by car.”
Finally, there will be a prize for Best Banner and one for Most Colourful Supporters, so we encourage all parents, family and friends attending to wear the school colours (green and black), and those involved with any GAA club to bring along any flags, headbands or banners in those colours.
We hope to see you all there on the day!
